We Prayed He Answered: Frankfurt Week 10

February 15, 2016

Hello!

I hope your valentines day was the wonderful day of romance you were expecting :)

Wow, I wish right now that it was 91 degrees here. Not really, once it´s actually 91 degrees I´ll be whining about it because we don´t have air conditioning (which is actually not as bad as you would think, I just showered twice a day last summer).
Yep, the Elders in Heidelberg speak Spanish, they have a Spanish speaking branch over there. I will hopefully have a story for you next week, we start tomorrow. It is really nice to see and reconnect with Elder Fitzgerald so often. Dad, you strained your hip flexor, you use this muscle to lift your leg (knee), especially in sprinting. Doing a really deep lunge, facing forward, can stretch that for you. Be gentle.

This week in my life... We spent a lot of time looking for people to teach, found a bunch of people, had a lot of fallen out appointments and lead a zone training. We also had some cool answers to really specific prayers about getting into contact with some people whom we hadn´t been able to meet or talk with for a while. We had a lesson with a man named Manuel planned for Wednesday night, I realized that I didn´t have his number on our drive home from visiting someone else, so I prayed that he would call us- 10 minutes later we got a call from Manuel. About 3 weeks ago Elder Taylor and I set a baptismal date with a man we met on the street, Mr H. He missed his appointment, didn´t come to church and we hadn´t had contact with him since then. On Saturday Elder Taylor had been praying to be able to get into contact with him again, but he realized that praying more specifically can be important. He decided to call Mr H at 1:20. He answered. After calling this man all the time for days he finally picked up (instead of going straight to mailbox or not ringing. we´re not cluttering his mailbox with voicemails or just pestering him all the time). Small and simple things. tender Mercies. Little miracles. Moments like these help me to know that this really is God´s work. He lovingly guides and directs it. Jesus Christ and His atonement make it all possible, they make this wonderful plan of forgiveness, happiness and redemption possible.
Love you,

Hayden
